He also asked Officers to review a draft Executive <br />Order on water conservation. <br /> <br />The comments received on the Executive Order as well as information on water conservation <br />efforts within state government are summarized below. Note that the majority of projects involve <br />landscaping and outdoor water use; the area with the greatest potential water reduction. <br /> <br />RESPONSES <br />The following Departments have responded with the requested information: <br />Department of Corrections <br />Department of Institutions <br />Department of Transportation <br /> <br />COMMENTS REGARDING EXECUTIVE ORDER <br />CDOC raised the concern of significant workload and direct cost for agencies without in-house <br />engineering staff. However the flexibility of each executive director to determine if requirements <br />apply eliminated any m<\ior concern. CDOI felt the Order was reasonable. And CDOT was very <br />supportive of the Executive Order. <br />
