D€J:-Il-v-~~V\+ o~ ;vt:LJavy lf~t'V'~

'. ,

D~fI- P!~~
_0.

---....

I.

INTRODUCTION

As directed by HB 91-1154, the Water Conservation Act of 1991, the
Colorado Army National Guard and the Department of Military Affairs is
performing a complete water audit of all departmental facilities. Our
intent is to promote and implement sound water conservation measures
throughout the COARNG, and to educate all members of the Colorado Army
National Guard about the benefits and savings of these measures.

The inventory of our facilities will determine:

1. Water efficiency of existing fixtures and appliances,
including water closets, urinals, showerheads, and faucets.

2. Feasibility of Low water use landscaping and/or efficient
irrigation systems.

3. Water reuse systems, potable and non potable.

4. Maintenance of all water use devices, to include proper
setting, leaks, and repairs.

5. Most importantly, user understanding of water conservation
techniques and their benefits.
