Use of wetting agent at parks and open space areas
. Leak identification and repair
. Irrigation equipment improvement at parks and open space areas

Each of these measures/programs was analyzed to determine the benefit-cost for the
Town. As a result of our analysis, it was decided by the Town that all
measures/programs will be implemented except the Point System for New Residential
Development. The Town felt this system will require further study to analyze fairness,
risk, administration, time commitment, and water savings benefit.

Please note that, as seemingly with all things, water conservation often means different
things to different customers. For example, some are driven by financial savings, some
for the good of the environment, some by regulatory programs, etc. Hence, the Town
wanted its list of conservation measures and programs to be as far-reaching as
practical, thus reaching the largest pool of its citizens.

Clear Water Solutions, Inc.
Town of Firestone

2007 Water Conservation Plan

ES-3
