The Guidance Document outlines nine steps in the water conservation
planning process. To date, the Town has completed all of the steps per the scope of work submitted
with its grant application.

Through close coordination with Town staff, we developed water-savings goals for the four largest
water use customer categories: Residential, Commercial, Parks, and Open Space. The goals are
4.7%,13.4%,12.1%, and 19.0% over the ten-year planning horizon, respectively. To help the Town
achieve these goals, we developed a universal list of conservation measures and programs and then
screened this list using the following criteria:

1. Benefit in water savings
2. Feasibility of implementation
3. Public acceptance
4. Staff and Council approval

The purpose of the initial screening process was to help CWS and Town decision makers
immediately eliminate measures that would not work for the Town. From this effort, we developed a
final list of measures and programs that would be evaluated further in the planning process. We
grouped these final measures/programs into four categories: Rebates and Incentives, Educational
Programs, Regulatory, and Utility Maintenance, The final list of measures and programs to be
evaluated are summarized below,

Rebates and Incentives

. Rebates for low-flow fixtures - toilets, showerheads, faucets, and clothes washers
. Rebates for installing sprinkler systems in older homes

13228 Shadow Canyon Trail

Broomfield, CO 80020

(T) 303,929,0758

(F) 303.464,8697

www.c1earwatercolorado.com
