Installing additional rain and wind sensors at parks and open space areas
. Use of wetting agent at parks and open space areas
. Leak identification and repair
. Irrigation equipment improvement at parks and open space areas

We conducted a benefit-cost analysis for each of the measures/programs to compare the benefits in
water savings to the cost of implementation, including lost revenue. To ensure that each
measure/program could be compared on an equal basis, we reduced the analysis to a cost per 1,000
gallons saved, As a result of our analysis, the Town decided that all measures/programs will be
implemented except the Point System for New Residential Development. The Town felt this system
will require further study to analyze fairness, risk, administration, time commitment, and water-savings
benefit.

Town Board and staff have reviewed and commented on the final draft of the plan. These comments
will be incorporated into the plan in preparation of the public review process scheduled from April 3,
2007 to June 3, 2007, After the 60-day public process, we will incorporate public comments, if any,
and the Board will formally adopt the Water Conservation Plan. We will submit a final plan to CWCB
for approval prior to June 30, 2007.
