WATER CONSERVATION PLAN 2008 <br />TABLE 18 <br />Estimated Implementation Schedule for Measures and Programs <br />Estimated Implementation <br />Time Frame <br />Measure /Program <br />Residential Washing Machine Rebates <br />Residential Dual Flush Toilet Rebate <br />Water Waste Code Enforcement <br />Soil Amendment Rebate <br />Raw Water Conversion Projects <br />Water Rate Studies (every 3 to 5 years) <br />10.2.1 State Grant Applications <br />Vital to the successful implementation of the Final Plan will be the procurement of Office <br />of Water Conservation and Drought Planning (OWCDP) water conservation plan <br />implementation funds over each of the next four years. Specific grant applications will be <br />developed to support the City's activities related to the following key measures and <br />programs: <br />• Commercial and irrigation customer audits; ET controller and rainfall sensor rebates <br />and water use tracking pilot programs, <br />• Raw water audits, and <br />• Landscaper and irrigation contractor and HOA maintenance contractors training <br />off orts . <br />These combined programs are expected to become important components of the core <br />areas for future water savings by the City's customers, and the importance and value to <br />the City of OWCDP monetary support to initiate these programs cannot be overstated. <br />Grant applications will be prepared as soon as the Final Plan is approved by CWCB. <br />The City may also want to perform additional studies to evaluate water use in more detail <br />and may include a study on the Impact of Mandatory Residential Watering Times, or an <br />Evaluation of Private Irrigation of Public Lands. <br />10.3 Monitoring and Verification of Program Effectiveness <br />Monitoring and verification of program effectiveness will be conducted through a <br />combination of tracking efforts to measure the value of the various individual measures <br />and programs being implemented by the City.
