WATER CONSERVATION PLAN 2008 <br />• Annual total treated water demand forecasts (in million gallons) from the previous <br />section were converted to annual average production rates in million gallons per day <br />(mgd), <br />• Daily plant production data was evaluated from 2002 to 2006 to determine the peak <br />day values for each month, and the annual average in mgd, <br />• The peak -day to annual average was calculated for each month, the average of this <br />value from 2002 to 2006 was the peak -day to annual average factor, <br />• The peak -day was forecasted for each month by applying the peak -day to annual <br />average factor to the forecasted annual average through 2017. <br />Appendix B provides additional detail regarding how the forecasting of daily water <br />demands was calculated. <br />Based on the methodology described above the peak -day water demand in 2017 was <br />estimated as 40 mgd, which is below the current water treatment plant capacity of 50 <br />mgd.
