Current population and population projections for 2010
through 2025 were estimated using the following information and assumptions:

. Current developments within Erie's service area

. Assumed 2.79 people per unit for residential development

. Assumed future development will correspond with the Comprehensive Plan land
use map

. Assumed the buildout service includes those areas currently served by the Left
Hand Water District

. Growth is assumed to be 6 percent per year through 2010 and 4 percent per year
after 2010

. Residential density was based on the following information provided by the Town
Planner:
- Rural Density - 1 unit/ acre
- Low Density - 4 units/ acre
- Medium Density - 8 units/ acre
- High Density - 16 units/ acre
- Mixed Use - 50 percent of land is residential at 8 units/ acre

2-3

\\DENSVR1\PROJECTS\9228 - ERIE\59443 - CONSERVATION PLAN\REPORT\FINAL DRAFT\SECTION 2.DOC
