Gimbel <br />CWCB Director <br /> <br />Dan McAuliffe <br />CWCB Deputy Director <br /> <br />On October 5, 2007, the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) received a locally-adopted Water <br />Conservation Plan from the TO\Vll of Erie for review and approval. After being evaluated by Peter Mayer with <br />Aquacraft, the plan ,vas disapproved with nlodificatiolls. ~rhe CWCB & the TO\Vll of Erie conducted a conference <br />call to discuss the deficiencies which led to the CWCB~s determination to disapprove the plan. <br /> <br />Dear .Mr. Behlen: <br /> <br />On February 13, 2008, the CWCB received an amended version of Erie's Water Conservation Plan. The amended <br />version was to address the deficiencies discussed during the conference call. The plan was thoroughly evaluated, by <br />Peter Mayer, to determine if the deficiencies in the previous plan had been resolved. .Upon completion of the review <br />process~ the submitted Plan is hereby approved. <br /> <br />The Plan will be kept on file at the CWCB and shall be accessible to the public through our \vebsite and the Water <br />Resource Information Center. The Plan will also be made available to the Colorado Water Resourc.es & Power <br />Development Authority and the Water Supply Planning & Finance section within the CWCB should you apply for a <br />loan from either agency. <br /> <br />Due to the legislative intent of the \Vater Conservation Act of 2004, the Office may contact you to discuss how your <br />conservation planning and implementation efforts are progressing. As Erie begins implementing the conservation <br />measures outlined in the Plan, please be aware that the CWCB has grant monies available to assist entities, with <br />approved plans, in their efforts to implement those measures. I have enclosed a brochtue providing a general <br />overview of the Water Efficiency Grant Program and encourage the Town of Erie to apply. <br /> <br />Thank you again for all your efforts in developing a Water Conservation Plan.
