<br />.~ <br /> <br />$~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />conspicuous and accessible place near the premises so supplied with <br />water and on some public highway to be designated by the Town <br />Manager. <br /> <br />RESALE OF TOWN WATER BY CONSUMER.PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />No water from the Town shall be resold by the purchaser <br />thereof and a violation thereof shall entitle the Town to cut off <br />the water supply of any violator. <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITY OF CONSUMER FOR MAINTENANCE OF SERVICE PIPES. <br /> <br />The owner or lessee of any premises to which any Town water is <br />conducted shall keep all pipes and fixtures from the curb stop to <br />his premises and on such premises tight, so as to prevent the waste <br />of water. Upon any such waste resulting from a breakage of such <br />pipes or fixtures such person shall forthwith stop such waste by <br />repairing effectually the old work or laying new work. On <br />noncompliance with this section by such owner or lessee, the Town <br />Manager may disconnect such service pipes from the mains and slope <br />the orifice in the mains through which water shall have been <br />transmitted to such service pipes. Any damage to water lines <br />caused by negligence of any person shall be paid by the person <br />causing the damage. <br /> <br />TAKING UP OF SERVICE PIPES; DISCONNECTION OF SERVICE. <br /> <br />In case any person abandoning the use of water takes up his <br />service pipe which had been connected with the water main, the stop <br />ferrule and pipe between the main and the.> stopcock on the outside <br />of the sidewalk shall be forfeited to the Town and left in the <br />ground and attached to the main. <br /> <br />FURNISHING OF WATER OUTSIDE TOWN. <br /> <br />In no case shall water connections be made outside the Town <br />without express approval of the Board of Trustees and at a <br />connection cost to be set by the Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. CONNECTIONS <br /> <br />PERMIT REQUIRED <br /> <br />Any person desiring to use Town water on his premises shall <br />apply to the Town Manager for a permit to have the street mains <br />forming a part of the Town waterworks tapped. Such permit shall be <br />signed by the Town Manager and shall set forth the name of the <br />person for whose benefit such permit shall be granted, the size of <br />the stopcock for discharging the water from the mains to the <br />service pipes, as near as may be, the point at which such tapping <br />is to be done, the place to which the water is to be conducted, the <br />situation of the hydrants, and the contempla~ed use of such water <br />thereby. The Town Manager shall keep a record of all such permits <br />
