<br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Colorado State Services Building is located at 1525 Shennan Street This building now <br />houses the Department of Administration and the Department of Law, This facility has <br />recently been renovated, and has now been reoccupied, The building was taken out of <br />service toward the end of 1990, and was under construction for the next year and a half, <br />Construction was completed in 1992 with State offices moving back into the building after <br />Labor Day, <br /> <br />The restroom facilities on each of the eight floors are similar in configuration, Men's <br />restrooms have three toilets, two urinals and three sinks. Women's restrooms are equipped <br />with four toilets and three sinks, There is also a basement, a sub-basement and the <br />penthouse mechanical room on top of the building, A 650 ton cooling tower is located on <br />this building that supplies cooling to about half of the State Capital Complex, <br /> <br />There are now approximately 415 full time employees working in the State Services <br />Building, Prior to remodeling, about 515 employees worked there, A small cafeteria was <br />located in the basement prior to the remodel, which has been replaced by a larger one <br />located on the main floor, There are landscaped areas adjacent to this building plus <br />landscaping at neighboring properties that receive water from this facility, <br /> <br />Eddie Hernandez and Jim Reed of Denver Water visited this facility on December 15,1992 <br />to obtain infonnation regarding water use, Richard Lebsock and Chris Bridges provided <br />infonnation about water use, <br /> <br />EXISTING WATER CONSUMPTION <br /> <br />The State Services Building receives its water from Denver Water, supplied through a single <br />tap and meter, This meter is read monthly, Water consumption data for 1989,1990, 1991 <br />and 1992 is listed in Table 1 and presented graphically in Figure L <br /> <br /> Ian Feb Mar Apr May lun lul Aug Sap Oct Nov Dee ToT <br />1989 271 209 219 304 317 319 599 518 379 353 252 243 3983 <br />1990 248 240 242 304 345 493 559 471 471 356 155 37 3921 <br />1991 66 84 63 42 92 129 255 218 157 110 12 5 1233 <br />1992 2 13 12 6 358 100 129 215 292 229 30 251 1637 <br /> <br />TABLE 1 <br />Water Use (1000 gal.) <br />
