.

Town of Castle Rock
1992 Water Conservation Grant Application
Page 10

established since 1989.

POSSIBLE TIME FRAME:

The completion of the first newsletter would have to occur in approximately
May, so that candidate homes can be selected. The participant selection
should occur by the end of May, concurrently monitoring will ensue, and
historical data be collected on each home. Indoor measures should be
implemented by June, along with outdoor design. At this time the second
newsletter will identify the homes selected and the measures to be employed,
Nearing the end of the irrigation season, the third newsletter will identify
water usage figures, along with photographs of completed landscapes. The
final newsletter will identify final savings, issue projections for the cost
evaluation of the measures employed, and promote the next year's program
as it follows the development of each home.

The Water Conservation Sub-Committee is interested in having this be an on.
going program on which to build a resource base for future water
conservation efforts. The funds for this would be budgeted, and this program
would be incorporated into the Long-Range Water Conservation Plan,
