!, " .

"SILT CAN SAVE"
WATER CONSERVATION GRANT PROJECT WORKPLAN
A~1ENDMENTS

The following are amendments to the original workplan submitted to the Office of
Water Conservation for the "Silt Can Save" water conservation project. These amendments
expand certain areas of the original workplan, and should further strengthen the
project through a more comprehensive data collection and project tracking system.

AMENDMENTS

1. As data collection will occur for two years; and the original workplan suggested
a report at the end of those two years; it has been found to be useful to submit
a mid-project report in September of 1993. This will be done.

2. Concerning disbursements of funds for the project, it has been decided the project
costs would be recovered via the following schedule:

A. The first grant disbursement will consist of 40% of the total available
minus the 10% to be retained. This disbursement should occur in the
month of July, 1992, if possible.
The balance of the grant would preferably be available in October of 1992,
after all hard costs had been incurred.
The 10% on retainer would be available after the completion of the project,
most likely October of 1994.

3. A short survey will be designed to be included in the kit which will go to each user.
This survey will beii'tcluded'onthe 'pre-paiddreturn card included in the'kit,' to be
rettirriedas-proof'of tnsta'tlation,as well as a survey.

4. Any and all publicity items concerning the project will be sent to the Office of
Water Conservation.

5. A deadline for epuipment installation will be given to each water user. This deadline
is scheduled as August 28th, 1992. This deadline will be given in writing within
the kit literature.
