organizations are also looking to improve data collection efforts to support better water rate
structures that are based on "cost of services" models.
Steps Remaining
The District will continue to execute the project scope over the coming four to five months.
The Draft Regional Water Conservation Plan is expected to go in front of the District Board in
November, which will initiate the 60 day public review process. At that time, the District will
make a request to both CWCB and Reclamation to review and comment on the Plan. The public
review will extend into January, such that a Final RWC Plan will be developed for Board action
in February. The Final RWC Plan will be linked to a web-based tool box being developed under
funding from Reclamation. The web-based tool box will be available for use by not only the AVC
participants but also other water providers that would find it of value throughout the District
and the State.
Thank you for all your support in the planning and implementation of our water conservation
program. Our community has benefited greatly from the funding and technical assistance
provided by the CWCB throughout this process.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Respectfully,
av` /,wt / ,qf-
Jean Van Pelt
Conservation and Outreach Coordinator
CC:
James Broderick, Executive Director
District Files
•
