ANNEX D <br /> DROUGHT RESPONSE SYSTEM FOR WILDFIRE PROTECTION #3 <br /> RESPONSE. Any action taken by Statc and federal government to solve <br /> given drought problems. Initiated after local efforts become, or threaten <br /> to easily become, overburdened by the problems. Response will be an <br /> inter-agency cooperative effort under a lead agency. <br /> LEAD AGENCY. The Colorado State Forest Service is the Lead Agency for <br /> wildfire protection problems. <br /> COORDINATION PROCEDURES. Regardless of drought conditions, wildfire <br /> emergency procedures are expected to be: <br /> Need Action <br /> 1 . Normal fire events and workload. 1 . Utilize existing fire suppres- <br /> sion mechanisms of local , State, <br /> federal resources. <br /> 2. Multiple fires which threaten 2. Situation briefing to Review and Reporting TF Chairman, Governor 's <br /> Office, and DODES by Lead Agency. <br /> 3 . CWCG provide inter-governmental solutions as possible. <br /> 4. For intensifying problems, Lead Agency request activation of <br /> IACG,. <br /> 5. Lead Agency attend IACG sessions as scheduled, whether problems <br /> are fire related or not. <br /> D-3-1 <br />
