ANNEX D <br /> INTER AGENCY COORDINATING GROUP #1 <br /> SITUATION. As drought conditions worsen and as lead response agencies <br /> become overburdened and find difficulty in coping with growing problems, <br /> a need exists for an organization formed from senior level management <br /> to address these issues. <br /> PURPOSE. When activated, the Inter Agency Coordinating Group will <br /> review impact Task Force statements of unmet needs; address these needs <br /> or render recommendations to the Governor for his disposition. <br /> ORGANIZATION. The Inter Agency Coordinating Group will be comprised of <br /> senior level representatives of the lead drought response agencies of <br /> State government, chaired by the Director of DODES. Other participants <br /> may be designated as required; for example, such federal agencies as the <br /> Federal Emergency Management Agency, or agencies possessing specific <br /> expertise such as the Denver Water Board, academic community representa- <br /> tives, or members of other interest groups. The need for additional <br /> participants will be determined by Group Chairperson. <br /> Inter Agency Coordinating Group <br /> Director DODES - Chairperson <br /> Representative - Department of Local Affairs <br /> Representative - Department of Natural Resources <br /> Representative - State Forest Service <br /> Representative - Department of Agriculture <br /> Representative - Office of Planning and Budgeting <br /> Representative - FEMA Region VIII (Advisory only) <br /> EXECUTION <br /> Concept <br /> - The Inter Agency Coordinating Group, when activated by the <br /> Governor upon recommendation of the Review and Reporting <br /> Task Force, will address those unmet needs and issues <br /> identified by the Impact Task Forces and lead response agencies. <br /> Actions within the authority of the representatives of this <br /> group will be taken to resolve those matters brought before <br /> the group. Matters not within the authority of this group to <br /> resolve will be forwarded to the Governor with recommendations <br /> for action. Policy decisions made by the Governor will be <br /> implemented through this group when appropriate. <br /> Tasks <br /> - Review task force statements of unmet needs to recognize and <br /> identify alternate choices for response. <br /> - Develop, coordinate, and recommend solutions to impact <br /> problems involving: <br /> D-1 -1 <br />
