- Determine requirements for routine and special reports. <br /> - Respond to special data requirements of the other Assess- <br /> ment Task Forces. <br /> - Identify resource information gaps and make recommendations <br /> to address same. <br /> IMPLEMENTATION (Action Plan) , Based on the various resource information <br /> capabilities, data banks, and presently disseminated Water Availability <br /> Reports indicated in Appendix 1 , the Water Availability Task Force will <br /> take the following actions to carry out its tasks: <br /> 1 . On a monthly basis , routinely provide a Water Availability Report <br /> comprised of information on snowpack/precipitation, stream flow, <br /> reservoir storage levels, water availability and Palmer Indexes, <br /> and forecasted weather. The basis of this report will be: <br /> - Snowpack/precipitation, stream flow, and reservoir <br /> storage levels: <br /> 1 February through 1 June - Monthly Water Supply <br /> Outlook published by SCS, as supplemented. <br /> 1 June to 1 February - Data provided by the National <br /> Weather Service and the Division of Water Resources. <br /> - Palmer Index, as provided by the National Weather Service. <br /> - Water Availability Index, as developed by the Division of <br /> Water Resources. <br /> - Weather forecasts, as provided by the National Weather <br /> Service. <br /> 2. Provide supplemental reports whenever a significant weather event <br /> occurs or a special report requirement exists. <br /> 3. Coordinate special data requirements of the other Drought Assess- <br /> ment Task Forces with resource agencies. <br /> 4. Each Water Availability Task Force Agency will continue to publish <br /> and disseminate its normal reports. <br /> 5. Continuous emphasis will be placed on improvement of the Task <br /> Force's capability to provide accurate and timely assessments <br /> of water availability. <br /> 6. The Task Force will meet at the call of the Chairperson. <br /> 7. Adjustments to the Action Plan will be made as necessary, with the <br /> approval of the Task Force. <br />
