The first part of
this task is to develop an informational website that will provide a point location for the
state, local government, and the general public to access information on resources for
local planning. AMEC will utilize the recently completed 2009 Drought Toolbox Scoping
Report and its recommendations to guide the content development for the website. This
information will include the eligibility criteria for local assistance, drought assistance
related programs, drought awareness and education, and other general and electronic
(web- based) resources. The website will include links to other drought resource
websites such as the NDMC's Drought Impact Reporter and the NIDIS U.S. Drought
Portal.
AMEC's focus will be developing the outline and content for the website. It is assumed
that the website design and hosting will be the State's responsibility. It is also assumed
that the state will be responsible for populating and maintaining the information related
to current drought status reports. The following list includes the website components
detailed in the RFP, followed by more specifics as recommended by the 2009 Drought
Toolbox Scoping Report.
