The District also distributed Project Planet materials
to eight area hotels indicating the importance of water conservation to area tourists and hotel staff.
The costs for the Project Planet materials and distribution were included as in -kind contributions to
the project in the previous invoice.
Current outreach efforts, attached in the District invoice, include the costs to develop, print and
install signage in all hotel rooms, restaurants and other locations that benefited from the installation
of retrofits under this Grant. A total of 169 signs were developed and installed as part of this
outreach effort (see attached Table). A substantial portion of the costs to print the room signage
was included as an in -kind contribution by the District to the project.
Task 2
Water use audits have been conducted with 16 of the District's customers; including 12 audits that
were funded through this Grant (four other audits were conducted prior to this Grant to support
preparation of the grant application). Costs for conducting the audits were covered under the
previous invoice to the State. Costs for development of the water models that will be used to track
water demand reductions at each of the audited facilities were recently incurred and are included in
the attached invoice.
Retrofit installations also occurred prior to the last invoice including the placement of those fixtures
identified in the attached table. The previous invoice included costs for the labor to install the
faucet aerators and showerheads; as well as the costs for the toilets, urinals, showerheads and the
faucet aerators. In -kind costs in the past invoice include the plumber's labor.
Included in this invoice are the unbilled costs for the fixtures that had not been installed at the time
of the first invoice including:
• 6 waterless urinals
lw
d
Carrie S.
