APPENDIX B - DEMAND FORECASTING PROCEDURE <br />Small Commercial <br />Treated water use forecast for small commercial was based on the growth rate of non <br />residential building permit square footage. The process to calculate the growth rate is <br />described below. <br />a. Determine small commercial building square footage from previous years. The City's <br />Department of Community Development Planning and Development Services Division <br />(Planning Division) provided information on the actual small commercial square footage <br />from 1998 to 2006. <br />b. Estimate small commercial growth for next 5 years. The Planning Division also provided <br />estimated square footage of non - residential building permits for 2007 to 2012.
