When a customer's <br />year-to-date water use exceeds their annual allotment, an additional <br />conservation charge of $1.50 per 1,000 gallons is applied to their bill until <br />the end of the year. <br /> <br />Figure 3.9 shows the amount paid per month by customers with 3;4" meters using <br />between 0 and 50,000 gallons per month. ELCO has adjusted water rates three times <br />since 1991.
