<br />Introduction <br /> <br />Multi-Family <br />Residential <br /> <br />Multi-Family Residential <br /> <br />Water Rate Component <br />1, New Water Rate Structure (such as a water budget rate structure) (Provides nec- <br />essary water at reasonable rate; rewards conservation, penalizes water waste,) <br /> <br />New Construction <br />1, Water-Wise Landscape Design Regulations (Use of Xeriscape principles and <br />landscape design best management practices including: <br />a, Planning/Design; <br />b, Soil preparation, <br />c, Use of mulch, <br />d, Xeric plant selection and high water use plant materials allowed only <br />in active/passive park areas (passive areas limited by % of land- <br />scape, ) <br />2, Water Wise Landscape Irrigation Design (Use of best management practices and <br />technologies, including: <br />a, Separate service taps for irrigation and domestic; <br />b, Irrigation system efficiency of 750/0 or higher; <br />c, No overhead irrigation; <br />d, Evapo-transpiration-based irrigation control; <br />e, Hydro-zoning; <br />f, Reduced run-off including installation of check valves,) <br />3, Sub-Metering Program (Require sub-metering of individual units where possible, <br />Town may provide financial assistance with costs of sub-meters); <br />4, System Development Fee credit incentive program for: <br />a, Common laundering facilities with ultra low volume clothes washers, <br /> <br />Existina <br />1, Incentive/rebate programs for savings (reimbursed upon proof of savings) (For <br />renovations of existing properties with best management practices such as: <br />a, Water Wise Landscape Design Upgrade: Use of Xeriscape princi- <br />ples and landscape design best management practices and Xeris- <br />cape principles, including high water use plant material/turf removal; <br />b, Water Wise Landscape Irrigation System Upgrade: Use of best <br />management practices and technologies to upgrade or replace ex- <br />isting systems resulting in irrigation system efficiency of 750/0 or <br />higher (installation of evapo-transpiration based irrigation control- <br />lers, sub-surface drip irrigation, hydro-zoning, check valve installa- <br />tion, component and/or other system upgrades); <br />c, Installation of dedicated irrigation taps; <br />d, Common laundering facility clothes washer retrofit with high effi- <br />ciency washers; <br />e, Cooperative efforts for installation of sub-meters, <br />2, Technical Assistance Programs (such as: <br />a, Facility audits <br />b, Irrigation audits,) <br /> <br />Town of Castle Rock Water Conservation Master Plan <br /> <br />Page 1-11 <br />
