The application is attached for your review. The Town of Castle Rock is a <br />municipality that has a legal obligation to supply, distribute, and provide water at retail rates to <br />domestic, industrial, and public facility customers. The town's total demand is over 2,000 acre-feet <br />per year. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting $12,000 to aid in a water audit analysis of its streetscapes and <br />commercial irrigation accounts, as well as supplement the cost of staff time used to complete their <br />Water Conservation Plan. The applicant has demonstrated their financial ability to provide 25% of <br />the project budget with matching funds in the form of cash and in-kind services. Staffhas reviewed <br />and evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the <br />CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals. Attached is the internal checklist used to evaluate <br />the application as well as the application evaluation criteria. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The OWCDP staff recommends that Rod Kuharich, Director of the CWCB authorize $12,000 to the <br />Town of Castle Rock for completion of their Water Conservation Plan. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
