velocity does not exceed 1 inch per second at a 95% confidence interval, the standard equation
W = (D /DS)z ,'will not need to be used. See subsection 4.0 for an explanation of how blasts are
designed at New Horizon North.
Seismographs will typically be placed at the closest non - company owned structures to the
actual blast site or at some point in between a blast and a non - company owned structure. A
typical seismic machine report is shown in Appendix 2.05.3(6)(a) -3, along with a description of
the device including capability and sensitivity. In addition, all seismic report(s) will be attached
to the regular blast report that is kept on file in the mine office.
WFC has five (5) blast monitoring devices at present time. These machines will usually be
placed at the nearest inhabited dwelling(s) along with other none inhabited structures such as
sewer pipelines, irrigation ditches and other structures. The closest structures will take
monitoring precedence over further structures due to the limited number of monitoring
machines.
A sample blaster's form is attached as Appendix 2.05.3(6)(a) -5.
3.1 Structures with 1000 feet of Blasting Operations
68) Antonelli, Thomas & Mary
P.O.
