Gravel will be directly loaded into the crusher by a loader or will be hauled to the crusher from
the mining face in a truck. Highway trucks will haul sellable material to market from the
processing site. Truck traffic will be along US 6/40.
2. Mining Timetable
The following table (Table D -2) is a best estimate of the sequence of operations for the life of
the mine and is based on mining 150,000 raw tons per year and selling 100,000 tons per year.
Table D -2 Hayden Gravel Pit Mining Timetable
The mining schedule is planned to minimize disturbance by reclaiming areas as additional
mining is undertaken. This table is based on a reasonable projection of average production rates,
which can vary significantly. If production and sales are higher, than the mine life will be
shorter. Lower sales and lack of construction projects could lead to a longer pit life. The
production values in this permit are based on recent annual production at Camilletti.
3. Mine Facilities and Operation
The crushing and screening will take place within the Phase 1. Fuel will be brought on sit by fuel
truck, and on site storage will be maintained. This fuel farm will be constructed to have
secondary containment of 110% capacity of all tanks stored within. The fuel tanks for crusher,
screener, and asphalt plant will be stored on this fuel farm. Other individual equipment that is of
a more mobile type will carry their own fuel tanks, and will have secondary capacity of 110% as
well. An SPCC Plan will be placed in the mine office and the employees will be trained to take
