Other control (chemical) should be coordinated
with the land owner and County weed and pest control agency. Use of chemical control will be
evaluated, and the agency will recommend specific applications, rates and schedules based on
weeds observed and other conditions. Chemical control will be as limited as possible in scope
to identified stands of weeds. Mechanical and chemical control will be followed by seeding (Mix
A or Mix B), depending on immediate future use and status of the area.
Monitoring plan and follow -up: Beyond the first year, use of mowing, grazing, and other weed
control measures will also be evaluated and carried out in accordance with agency instructions.
Monitoring and re- treatment (if necessary) will be done 1 May, 15 June, 15 July, and 15
September annually.
Other actions:
• Equipment which may have operated in weed infested areas will be cleaned before
movement to this site to prevent spread of weeds.
• Livestock will kept off all areas for several years after seeding, until reclamation release.
• Weed control work will be reported annually to DRMS and the landowner.
A separate fire mitigation and prevention plan has been prepared.
