Exhibit Page 34 <br />EXHIBIT K - CLIMATE INFORMATION <br />DOLORES AREA, MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO: <br />SUMMARY: Average annual precipitation is 18 -19 inches of which approximately 50% <br />falls during the growing season. Optimum growing season for native plants is from April <br />to September. The frost -free period varies from 75 to 100 days. Temperature ranges <br />from -20's to +90's F. Much of the precipitation falls as snow and winters are generally <br />closed. Summers are warm or hot, winters cold. Precipitation is extremely variable <br />from year to year. Only available information is from areas several hundred feet lower <br />and in the Dolores River Valley and may be misleading about the high mesa and south <br />facing climate of the site. <br />1. General Climate: <br />Montezuma County, in the southwest corner of Colorado, is where the San Juan Mountains meet the <br />desert canyon country. The area has milder winters than most of Colorado, yet still has four distinct <br />seasons. Winter weather patterns flow from the southwest and west, usually avoiding the colder storms <br />
