Exhibit Page 32
3.
control
'
Comments and remarks: A significant concern is noxious weed control. Fire
is also critical, due to the overgrown condition and past fire suppression.
4. Seed mixes for soil protection and reclamation.
Mix A: For temporary seeding for stabilization ana protection of stockpiles and cropland:
Species, Variety Rate in Ibs /acre, Rate in Ibs /acre,
PLS, Broadcast PLS, Drilled
Annual oats, variety not specified 30 15
TOTAL 30 15
Seeding will be done annually for the life of the stockpile or temporary disturbed area, between 1
April and 15 May. Alternative is to spread and crimp certified weed -free mulch at a rate of 2 tons
per acre, crimping to be done with a straight -set disc. Long -term stockpile areas will be seeded
as with permanent reclamation mix. No watering will be done; water is not available on the site.
This procedure is based upon recommendations by USDA -NRCS.
Iyllx D. rul d11rd5 wi llu l 111dy UU ubuu lul Y1 CLZ111 .
Species, Variety Rate in Ibs /acre, Rate in Ibs /acre,
PLS, Broadcast PLS, Drilled
Arizona fescue 2.6 1.3
Western wheatgrass 8.0 4.0
Mountain brome 9.6 4.8
Slender wheatgrass 5.6 2.8
TOTAL 25.8 12.9
Seeding will be done in fall, between15 AUG until ground is frozen, or in spring, after ground
thaw and before 30 APR.
5. General instructions regarding seeding and care:
All seeding will be mulched with approximately 4000 Ibs.(per acres) of weed -free straw spread
and crimped into the seedbed to a depth of 4 inches, with tracked equipment or by hand.
For drilling, a grass drill with depth bands and press wheels to a planting depth of to 1 inch
will be used. Unless irrigated (not planned), seeding will be during the period from 15 October
to 15 December (late fall), but depending on weather conditions, may be done as late as 30
April (when free of frost). If irrigation is intended for at least the first full growing season,
planting will be done between April and August at the end of mining and reclamation operations
for the year for the particular piece of land being reclaimed.
