Due to the mitigation ratio, there will be 885 shrubs replaced <br />following Phase 1 and Phase 3 construction activities. There will be 120 riparian shrubs <br />installed in the created riparian mitigation areas located upstream of the cut -off wall. These <br />mitigation areas total 0.07 acre and were part of the original 2011 BA and mitigation planning. <br />An additional 150 willow stakes will be installed upstream of the cut -off wall in the location of the <br />restored riparian areas. The remaining 615 willow stakes will be installed at the end of Phase 3 <br />clean -up activities. <br />After reviewing these 2012 Phase 1 Schwartzwalder Mine actual area impact and tree and <br />shrub impact calculations, please contact Blair Leisure at 720 - 272 -1985 with any questions or <br />for further clarifications. The Phase 1 mitigation efforts began in July 2012 and are continuing <br />this Fall 2012.
