Presently, settling ponds within this drainage are used to temporarily hold industrial water originating in the Tenmile Creek drainage; water from these ponds is returned, after settling , to Tenmile Creek drainage and no industrial water discharge is made into the Arkansas River . Future plans will replace the present settling ponds with new settling facilities to handle industrial water and runoff from the Storke yard area. After settling , this water c{ will be returned to the Tenmile Creek drainage. ��G 8 . 5 EAGLE RIVER DRAINAGE Facilities for Climax operations within the Eagle River drainage include tailing delivery and deposition systems, js industrial and domestic water circuits, and facilities for water collection and storage. Tailing and Industrial Water -- Eagle Drainage �r The West Tailing Delivery Line transports the mill tailing , in a water slurry, to the westerly side , No. 1 Dam, of the Robinson Tailing Pond for deposition. The tailing pond , whichAas a surface area of approximately 770 acres, is tributary to both the Eagle River and Tenmile Creek drainages. Two dams, No. 1 Dam and No. 2 Dam within the Eagle River and Tenmile Creek drainages respectively, are required for the Robinson Tailing impoundment. The Robinson Reservoir , used for storage of decreed water rights, has a decreed capacity of 3 ,136 acre-feet and a surface area of 92 acres. The industrial water is pumped from the Robinson Reservoir to storage tanks located in the mill area and is used in the milling process and deposited with the tailing slurry on the tailing ponds. Water which is not consumed is ultimately discharged pursuantrto the company' s NPDES permit. No. 4 Dam and Oxide Tailing Pond are located downstream of Robinson Reservoir . The pond is presently being dewatered by pumping to the industrial water circuit. This pond has a surface area of 43 acres. 8-3
