Seepage from tailings dams is controlled through <br /> retention and return pumping. No industrial water is <br /> discharged into the Eagle River . <br /> Interceptor Canals -- Eagle Drainage <br /> Water in the Eagle River drainage, that is tributary <br /> to Chalk Mountain Reservoir , Robinson Reservoir , or No. 4 Dam, <br /> can be intercepted by the Upper and Lower. North Interceptor <br /> Canals , South Interceptor Canal , and Chalk Mountain Interceptor <br /> Canal and bypassed around these Climax storage facilities. The <br /> bypass facilities are necessary to deliver runoff water around <br /> the industrial water circuit and prevent any discharge of <br /> industrial waters into the Eagle River drainage. <br /> Domestic Water -- Eagle Drainage <br /> Chalk Mountain Reservoir has a decreed capacity of <br /> 204 acre-feet and a surface area of 17 acres. Its source of <br /> water for storage is natural runoff. Water fom the reservoir <br /> is stage pumped via Buffehr. Reservoir to the Climax domestic <br /> water filtration and distribution system. <br /> 8. 6 TENMILE CREEK DRAINAGE <br /> Climax operations and facilities within the Tenmile <br /> Creek drainage include underground and open pit mining , rock <br /> waste dumps, tailing delivery and deposition systems, <br /> industrial water circuits, water collection systems, wastewater <br /> treatment facilities , and the Climax mill and office complex <br /> area consisting of crushing and milling facilities, warehouse <br /> grounds, office and operation support facilities such as the <br /> infirmary and various maintenance buildings. <br /> Tailing and Industrial Water -- Tenmile Drainage <br /> T <br /> The East Tailing Delivery Line transports tailing to <br /> the Robinson, Tenmile and Mayflower Tailings Ponds. This <br /> tailing delivery line has the same operating characteristics as <br /> was described for the West Tailing Delivery line. <br /> 8-4 <br />
