V. Chain of Custody <br />Proper chain of custody procedures will be followed throughout the sampling activities. The <br />chain of custody procedures will allow the sample to be tracked from the time of collection <br />through the laboratory analysis. A sample of the chain of custody is attached for reference. <br />As part of the chain of custody procedure, a label will be affixed to each sample container. The <br />labels will contain the following information: - Name of analytical lab; <br />- Sample location; <br />- Date and time of sampling; <br />- Name of sampler; and <br />- Preservatives used. <br />Sample custody seals will be used if the samples are shipped to the lab by courier. If the <br />samples are delivered directly to the lab by sampling team personnel, sample custody seals will <br />not be necessary. <br />
