Alk �i WTI I ■ Observation and documentation of GCL and geomembrane deployment, trial seams, seaming, destructive testing, and non - destructive testing (pressure tests and vacuum tests); ■ Observation and documentation of GCL seaming performed in accordance with the manufactures recommendations; ■ Performing conformance testing of geomembrane; ■ Measuring geomembrane panel thickness and confirming adequate GCL and geomembrane panel overlap; ■ Visually inspecting GCL and geomembrane sheet quality, seam alignment, and continuity; and ■ Retaining archive samples of geomembrane destructive tests and trial seams. 1.3 Project Coordination AMEC CQC and CQA activities were directed by the AMEC Resident Engineer. The AMEC Resident Engineer for the period was Mr. Joseph D. Hickey. The Certifying Engineer and Project Manager, Mr. Jay Janney- Moore, P.E., or his representative made periodic site visits to resolve technical issues and to review AMEC activities. Appendix C presents a summary of the AMEC staff on -site during the period of October 10th -12th, 2011. Representatives of CC &V, Ames, Foresight West (QA Surveyor), and AMEC conducted daily preconstruction coordination meetings throughout the construction period. 1.3.1 Daily Construction Summary Reports AMEC prepared daily construction summary reports, and have been submitted to CC &V, as well as photographic documentation (Appendix B) throughout the project to document the key elements of construction and the CQA activities that occurred. On -site AMEC CQA personnel, and the Certifying Engineer and the Project Engineers discussed construction activities on a regular basis. A schedule of the AMEC staff for the duration of the installation can be found in Appendix C. 1.3.2 Project Specifications All work was performed in accordance with the design plans and specifications in Amendment Nos. 8 and 9 to Mining Permit M- 1980 -244.
