Alk <br />�i <br />WTI I <br />■ Observation and documentation of GCL and geomembrane deployment, trial seams, <br />seaming, destructive testing, and non - destructive testing (pressure tests and vacuum <br />tests); <br />■ Observation and documentation of GCL seaming performed in accordance with the <br />manufactures recommendations; <br />■ Performing conformance testing of geomembrane; <br />■ Measuring geomembrane panel thickness and confirming adequate GCL and <br />geomembrane panel overlap; <br />■ Visually inspecting GCL and geomembrane sheet quality, seam alignment, and <br />continuity; and <br />■ Retaining archive samples of geomembrane destructive tests and trial seams. <br />1.3 Project Coordination <br />AMEC CQC and CQA activities were directed by the AMEC Resident Engineer. The AMEC <br />Resident Engineer for the period was Mr. Joseph D. Hickey. The Certifying Engineer and <br />Project Manager, Mr. Jay Janney- Moore, P.E., or his representative made periodic site visits to <br />resolve technical issues and to review AMEC activities. Appendix C presents a summary of the <br />AMEC staff on -site during the period of October 10th -12th, 2011. <br />Representatives of CC &V, Ames, Foresight West (QA Surveyor), and AMEC conducted daily <br />preconstruction coordination meetings throughout the construction period. <br />1.3.1 Daily Construction Summary Reports <br />AMEC prepared daily construction summary reports, and have been submitted to CC &V, as well <br />as photographic documentation (Appendix B) throughout the project to document the key <br />elements of construction and the CQA activities that occurred. On -site AMEC CQA personnel, <br />and the Certifying Engineer and the Project Engineers discussed construction activities on a <br />regular basis. A schedule of the AMEC staff for the duration of the installation can be found <br />in Appendix C. <br />1.3.2 Project Specifications <br />All work was performed in accordance with the design plans and specifications in Amendment <br />Nos. 8 and 9 to Mining Permit M- 1980 -244. <br />
