spot spraying in areas where they were located. Weed control was performed by WFC <br />and a licensed weed control company. Pest Management, consisting of Prairie Dog <br />control was practiced on in the vicinity of the Bond Release Areas. No interseeding <br />occurred on any reclaimed areas in 2011. <br />Fertilizer, consisting of a mixture of 43 lbs. /acre of 18 -46 -0 and 117 lbs. /acre of <br />UREA, active ingredient was applied to most of the Irrigated Pasture Reclaimed Areas <br />on 3 May and in July to other areas associated with these Bond Release Areas. Hay <br />production listed by property owner giving the details of the first cutting as summarized <br />in the 2011 ARR, documents that 231.87 acres of Irrigated Pasture Reclamation were <br />harvested for hay, with the weighted average production being 2,767.2 pounds of field <br />dried forage per acre. Irrigated water was diverted into the CCC ditch on 25 April 25 <br />and irrigation commenced on 27 April on all non Irrigated Pasture Bond Release Areas <br />irrigated pasture areas. The CCC Ditch water was shut off on 9 October 2011. <br />Grazing occurred on the Irrigated Pasture Reclaimed Areas during 2011. Ward <br />Burbridge grazed approximately 20 head of cattle starting about 19 November 2011 on <br />approximately 39 acres in the Benson east area and continued there for approximately <br />three weeks. Grazing then progressed to the Benson south, Goforth, San Miguel, and <br />Burbridge properties, totaling approximately 159 acres. Mr. Burbridge started <br />supplemental feeding of his cattle with grass hay around 1 December 2010 and <br />continued this feeding until 1 May 2011. <br />On the reclaimed lands to the south of 5 Avenue, the Staats family grazed <br />approximately 201 head of cattle from 1 February 2011 through 5 March 2011. <br />Approximately fifteen cows were left on this area for calving after most of the animals <br />were moved out on 5 March 2011 and were finally moved out 15 March 2011. <br />On the Irrigated Pasture Reference Area, there was no rill or gully repair work was <br />performed on this site. Weed control was identical to that for the Irrigated Pasture <br />Bond Release Areas. Fertilizer, at the rates used on the Irrigated Pasture Reclamation, <br />was applied to the Irrigated Pasture Reference Area on May 3, 2011. Irrigation, <br />consisting of 10 shares of water, was applied to the 6.8 acre site Irrigated Pasture <br />Reference Area, commencing on 19 April and ending on 8 October 2011. In 2011, a <br />total of 298 bales of hay, approximately 57 pounds each were harvested from this site, <br />with the average yield being 2,487 pounds of field dried hay per acre. Grazing <br />commenced on the Irrigated Pasture Reference Area about 1 September 2010 and <br />continued until about 26 November 2011, wherein between 3 and 7 head of horses <br />grazed the site. Ditch maintenance work continued and additional gated aluminum pipe <br />was installed on the site to improve irrigation efficiency. The sod was also ripped in <br />the spring to promote plant growth. <br />Management Practices Utilized in 2010.
