However, there is an active (this winter!) bald eagle winter nighttime roost located in <br />mature cottonwood trees on both sides of the S. The site is located -1.7 miles south of SH 52 <br />in Ft Lupton. Even though the project should not result in much permanent surface disturbance (-- 600 -sq. ft. at <br />the outlet), it is planned for construction during February/March 2008 and I want to make sure that there activities <br />will not result in disturbances to any bald eagle that may nest in the area. I've checked the NDIS map and it <br />appears the closest known nest site is south of the project, near Wattenberg. Is this correct? <br />
