Task 21 - Push Rock Tunnel bench material onto faceup
60' high cut, 96,800 yds3 of fill, 30% outslope. This half of fill comes from fill 150' east of
tunnels, adjacent to North Fork of Dutch Creek. Permit @
Task 30 - Reduce Road A to postmine width
Current road width is 55', which must be reduced to 22'. Assumin cut and fill slopes are
currently 1:1 and will be reduced to 2:1. Need to remove 6.33 yds /lin. ft. Road length is
4,050'. Material to be moved is 25,636.5 bcy.
Since cuts and fills are 1:1, will need hydraulic excavator with long reach (Caterpillar 245B) to
pull material up onto road surface. Material would then need to be pushed against cut slope with
bulldozer. Task 225 includes dozer support for one half the excavator time.
Production capability of excavator downgraded from optimum to reflect degree of difficulty in
digging outslope, and long reach necessary.
