bonding estimates except for the rip-rapping and the other unengineered design
needs.
The TAD engineers did not have the detailed engineering available to determine
volumes of backfilling material or the detailed building sizing for demolition and
backfilling costing. TAD used the information furnished by the MLRD for these
values. Additional field work is necessary to further evaluate the adequacy of
these volumes.
TAD did, as the attached forms indicate, estimate equipment and labor costs as
recommended by the Dataquest "Cost Reference Guide" for equipment costing and
used the MLRD labor costs.
Some of the cost estimates furnished by MLRD were accepted by TAD when these
estimates were backed up with adequate engineering analysis. (Copy of MRLD
and MCCB costs estimates are attached).
The September 20, 1991 TAD estimate for the MCCB reclamation Bond is
$4,314,261 with the above mentioned use of furnished backfilling and volumes
structure information.
Prepared by: Date:
Reviewed'by Date:
Branch Chief: Date: 2
r
