IV. DRAINAGE <br /> Water from a disturbed area must not run into an <br /> undisturbed area without first going through a sediment <br /> pond. <br /> Be aware of berms and ditches, do not fill or push <br /> snow or any material into ditches or over berms. <br /> Do not grade or remove material over steel culverts , <br /> it may cause the culvert to be crushed. <br /> Avoid crushing the ends of the culverts by keeping <br /> equipment on the roads. Be aware of culvert locations. <br /> Each is marked with a red and white post. <br /> Do not ever cross streams with vehicles or equipment. <br /> V. REFUSE AND TRASH <br /> Refuse means preparation plant refuse, trommel <br /> rock and tunnel rock, all of which must go into approved <br /> refuse piles. <br /> Trash, means used-up equipment, old tires, steel, <br /> aluminum, wood, paper, etc. These go into the land <br /> fill dumps only. The main dump is below the tunnel <br /> refuse fill area. The other is at the No. 1 mine strip <br /> pit dump. <br /> Refuse must not accumulate. <br /> Coal refuse which spills from conveyor belts, and <br /> transfer points, must be picked up by front loaders and <br /> trucks. <br /> Refuse must not come in contact with topsoil, <br /> vegetation, berms or ditches. <br /> Refuse, including prep. plant refuse tunnel rock <br /> and trommel rock must be compacted in refuse piles in <br /> 2 ' lifts with a 2 : 1 outslope. <br /> �_lyo QuSN�N�c --?'Ahfuw,o VAA L t Fry <br /> J <br /> ZTQ� _ — <br />
