3. All liner materials used shall be compatible with field welding for the <br />installation and repair of the liner. <br />4. All exposed liner materials shall be resistant to degradation by UV light. <br />5. All roll goods shall be inspected for any pinholes, manufacturing defects or <br />blemishes. Materials containing any defects shall be rejected. <br />6. Liner material shall be chemically compatible with the specified wastewater. <br />7. Certification shall be provided stating materials utilized and properties of <br />materials. <br />8. Liner material shall meet or exceed all property values listed in certification. <br />9. The primary and secondary liners shall be separated by a synthetic geonet. <br />B. Leak Detection <br />1. Leak detection system shall consist of a conduction layer which allows for <br />leakage of either the primary or secondary liner to be conveyed to an internal <br />French drain system and a collection and monitoring system. <br />2. Leak detection pipe shall be perforated, corrugated HDPE pipe and smooth <br />wall HDPE pipe. The smooth wall HDPE pipe shall be fused to the <br />secondary liner at all penetrations of the secondary liner by the pipe. <br />3. Leak detection shall be installed as indicated in the attached basin design <br />drawings. <br />4. Detection system shall consist of a piping system which will convey water to <br />the collection piping observation well located on the basin berm. <br />2.3 Seller Services <br />A. Surface Preparation and Inspection <br />1. Basin area will be rough graded by Others. Seller shall provide final grading <br />services to establish an appropriate surface for the installation of the lagoon <br />liner. <br />2. Surfaces to be lined shall be free of rocks, vegetation and any debris that <br />may puncture or otherwise damage the liner when the basin is at maximum <br />water depth. <br />3. Seller shall verify measurements and grades of the basin and inspect for any <br />abrupt changes in grade. <br />RFP — Lagoon Liner pg. 2 <br />
