COLLECTION AGREEMENT
between
NATIONAL ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION
and
The USDA Forest Service
THIS COLLECTION AGREEMENT, is made and entered into by and between the National
Arbor Day Foundation, hereinafter referred to as NADF, and the USDA Forest
Service, hereinafter referred to as the Forest Service under the provisions of
the Cooperative Funds Act Of June 30, 1914 (16 USC 498) .
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, NADF a non-profit organization desires to participate in reforestation
on National Forests; and
WHEREAS, NADF will conduct promotional campaigns and desires to voluntarily
donate a portion of the funds generated from these campaigns to the Forest
Service for purchase and planting of seedlings to assist in reforestation; and
WHEREAS, the Forest Service is responsible for reforestation on National
Forests, which includes accepting donations to assist in reforestation; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of the Ferest .Service, Washington Office, Washington, DC, is
responsible for granting the right for use of the Forest Service name and
insignia;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants of the parties, NADF
and the USDA Forest Service agree as follows:
A. THE NATIONAL ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION SHALL: -
1. Develop promotional campaigns which allow participants to support
reforestation on National Forests.
2. Donate a portion of the proceeds from the promotional campaigns. The
donations, to be made annually in August will be mailed to the appropriate
Collection Officer as follows:
