Monitoring Requirements - Construction DewaterinP Activities <br /> In order to obtain an indication of the probable compliance or noncompliance with the effluent limitations <br /> specified in Part I.B.1, the permittee shall monitor all effluent parameters at the following required frequencies. <br /> Effluent Parameter Measurement Frequency d/ Sample Type e/ <br /> Flow, MGD Weekly Instantaneous or Continuous <br /> Total Suspended Solids, mg/l Twice Monthly Grab <br /> Oil and Grease, mg/l Weekly Visual or Grab <br /> pH, s.u. Monthly Grab <br /> Salinity g/, h/ Quarterly Grab <br /> Total Phosphorus (as P), mg/l Quarterly _ Grab <br /> See Part I.C.7.C. <br /> Self-monitoring samples taken in compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be taken at <br /> the point of discharge prior to entering waters of the State. <br /> 3. Footnotes <br /> a/ The thirty (30) day average shall be determined by the arithmetic mean of all samples collected during a <br /> thirty (30) consecutive-day period. Samples shall not be used for more than one reporting period. <br /> b/ - The seven (7) day average shall be determined by the arithmetic mean of all samples taken on separate <br /> days in a seven (7) consecutive-day period. Samples shall not be used for more than one reporting period. <br /> c/ - This limitation shall be determined by a single sample or set of samples as required by Part I B. 2, Sample <br /> Type- <br /> d/ - When the measurement frequency indicated is quarterly, the samples shall be collected during March, <br /> June, September and December, if a continual discharge occurs. If the discharge is intermittent, then <br /> samples shall be collected during the period that discharge occurs. If the permittee, using the approved <br /> analytical methods, monitors any parameter more frequently than required by this permit, then the results <br /> of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values required in the <br /> Discharge Monitoring Report Form or other forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency <br /> shall also be indicated. <br />
