TR-019 Request <br /> Page 4 <br /> RECLAMATION PLAN <br /> Cement Creek Diversion <br /> The diversion installation, when no longer needed according to <br /> the terms of the voluntary Consent Decree, will be removed. <br /> The area disturbed by construction of the accessway will be <br /> recontoured by roadway removal with an excavator to <br /> approximate the original contour and planted with the <br /> "Mountain Mix" seed mixture specified in the reclamation plan <br /> for the American Tunnel area, File No. M-77-378. <br /> The additional area to be disturbed by this project is <br /> estimated to be less than 0.5 acres. <br /> Mine Pool Alkaline Injection <br /> No additional land disturbance is anticipated for this <br /> project. Equipment will be removed at the end of each field <br /> season therefore no additional reclamation work is planned <br /> over that in the existing reclamation plans for the permitted <br /> areas involved. <br /> WATER INFORMATION <br /> Cement Creek Diversion <br /> The Consent Decree with its terms will govern the project <br /> timing and quantities of water diverted for water treatment. <br /> Monitoring and reporting requirements are also included in <br /> these terms. Project inspection under the terms of the <br /> Consent Decree will be performed by DMG as well as under this <br /> permit. <br /> The level of treatment required will be governed by SGC's CDPS <br /> discharge permit for the American Tunnel facility (CDPS CO- <br /> 0027529) . <br /> The installation of the diversion structure in Cement Creek <br /> will require Corp of Engineers approval. It is believed that <br /> this installation can be approved under a regional or <br /> nationwide permit. This diversion structure will not be <br /> installed prior to approval by the Corp of Engineers. <br /> The Office of the State Water Engineer was contacted <br /> concerning this project. There is no consumptive use involved <br /> therefore no water right filings required. As long as stream <br /> Water Quality Standards are not affected, this project does <br /> not fall under their area of interest. See attached letter. <br />
