Mr. Doug Bowman -2- March 4, 1983
4. It was not apparent whether antiseep collars, or seepage blankets,
were required on the ponds. Given the coarse fragment content of much of
the available material in Coal Basin, this should be given
consideration. However, as long as the pond is constructed according to
the designs and in consideration of the characteristics of the subsoils
in the area, this should not be a problem in this particular instance.
If subsoil materials are not as predicted, antiseep collars or blankets
should be considered.
If you have any comments or questions, plesae give me a call .
Sincerely,
J m Herron
R clamation Specialist
JH/mt
Doc. No. 1281
