PROJECT WORK DESCRIPTION <br /> PROJECT OVERVIEW <br /> The goal of this Project is to provide and Plant specified tree species with polyacrylamide on <br /> approximately one hundred twenty five (125) acres of reclaimed areas. Map 3, Tree Planting <br /> Project Area, depicts the approximate location of the Project Area and other features pertinent <br /> to this Project. <br /> NOTE that volumes, distances and areas stated in this document are ESTIMATIONS <br /> ONLY. CONTRACTORS are responsible for verifying all estimations prior to bid <br /> submittal. <br /> WORK TASKS <br /> The tasks included in this Project are as follows: <br /> Task 1: Mobilization and Demobilization 1 <br /> Task 2: Provide Materials <br /> i <br /> Task 3: Tree Planting , <br /> r <br /> 11 <br /> TASK 1 MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION <br /> This Task shall comply with Specification 1.0, Mobilization/ Demobilization, of the Colorado <br /> Inactive Mine Reclamation Program General Bid Specifications, 1996. <br /> Access Limitations <br /> Many areas within the Project Area have been previously reclaimed, or are in the process of <br /> being reclaimed. These areas are noted on Map 3, Tree Planting Project Area. Access to <br /> these areas is limited to low ground pressure vehicle, such as an all terrain vehicle weighing <br /> less than seven hundred (700) pounds, foot or horse. A helicopter is an acceptable method of <br /> delivering trees or personnel to these areas. Camping at these areas, when located on National <br /> Forest System lands, is allowed. <br /> Site Clean Up <br /> All planting materials, including bags, buckets, tools, planting trays, tree containers and all other <br /> miscellaneous items, trash and materials incidental to accomplishing the Project shall be <br /> removed from the Project Area, and shall be properly disposed of, prior to submittal of the final <br /> payment for Mobilization and Demobilization. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump <br /> sum bid under Item 1 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for <br /> Mobilization and Demobilization. Payment shall be made as described in General Bid <br /> Specifications 1996, Specification 1.0, Mobilization / Demobilization. <br /> 5 <br />
