and gullies on previously reclaimed lands may also be accomplished. <br /> All work will be undertaken at the direction of the PROJECT MANAGER. Work may involve <br /> removing debris from ditches, culverts, and streams. This work may occur along roadside <br /> ditches and culverts and at stream crossings. An aggregate of one hundred feet (100') of <br /> sediment containment fences (prefabricated silt fences with posts, to be installed as per <br /> manufacturer specifications), or hay bales anchored by rebar as described below, may be <br /> erected at various locations, as the need arises. Snow removal may be necessary in order to <br /> access some locations. Mud flow (mud slide) materials may need to be removed to access <br /> some locations. Boulders and other debris may need to be removed from the Dutch Creek <br /> Diversion. Placement of rip rap in either Coal Creek or Dutch Creek may be required. If so, <br /> CONTRACTOR will obtain and place this material at the direction of the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> Embankments adjacent to streams may need to be constructed in the event of flooding. Other <br /> maintenance activities, sediment control and erosion control work may be undertaken if <br /> necessary, and as specified by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> The anticipated performance period is April 17, 2000, through early-to mid-July, 2000. Climatic <br /> conditions may dictate modification of these dates. <br /> Equipment Required (With Operator) <br /> - Caterpillar D-6D or equivalent 140 fhp dozer, with operator <br /> - Caterpillar 416E backhoe/loader or 74 fhp equivalent, with operator <br /> - Ten (10) cubic yard on/off highway rear dump/haul truck, with operator <br /> The General Bid Specifications, 1996, Section 19.0, Equipment Rental, are applicable to this <br /> Invitation to Bid. A copy of these specifications may be obtained from: <br /> Division of Minerals and Geology <br /> 1313 Sherman Street Room 215 <br /> Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> 303-866-3567 <br /> Machine time is NOT guaranteed, however, if a particular piece of equipment is used, it will be <br /> used for a minimum of eight (8) hours. Equipment bid costs for the first eight (8) hours (Bid <br /> Schedule Items 1, 2, 3) shall include the cost of mobilizing and demobilizing the piece of <br /> equipment to and from the site. Any time above 8 hours for a single mobilization event will be <br /> paid at the rate bid for additional hours (Bid Schedule Items 1 a, 2a, 3a). A single mobilization <br /> event is the time during which a piece of equipment is on-site and utilized prior to being released <br /> by PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> 3 <br />
