CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT MANAGER at least
ten 00) working days notice of the acreage to be seeded, so that the proper amount of seed is
delivered. Hand written acreage calculations are acceptable.
Fertilizer
Biosol Mix (N-P-K @ 7-2-3), or pre-approved equivalent, will be applied to all areas at the rate of
1,800 pounds per acre.
Mulch
The Slender wheatgrass mulch will be distributed to all areas at the rate of 2,000 pounds per _
acre.
Tackifier
The M-binder, or approved organic equivalent tackifier, will be applied in liquid form at the rate
of 250 pounds per acre, or per manufacturers specifications, whichever is the higher application
rate. The tackifier must be mixed per manufacturers specifications.
Measurement and Payment
Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Revegetation Specification 20.0.
Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the
Bid Schedule Item 7. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all
other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications for work
accomplished on or adjacent to the mine bench outslopes, excepting the access roads.
Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 7 of the Bid
Schedule.
