Firming soil with the heel of the foot is not permitted. <br /> Shrubs will be planted in groups without mixing of species. PROJECT MANAGER will <br /> delineate in the field which species will be planted in particular locations. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement for payment shall be made per shrub installed and accepted. The percentage of <br /> shrubs planted and accepted, as determined by the PROJECT MANAGER, will be the basis for <br /> payment. PROJECT MANAGER will inspect a representative number of planting areas and <br /> determine the percentage of shrubs correctly planted at that area. The percentage of shrubs <br /> planted and accepted will be applied to the total number of shrubs provided. The percentage of <br /> shrubs planted and accepted will be multiplied by the number of shrubs specified for planting. <br /> The result will determine the total number of shrubs to be paid at the unit price bid in Item 6 of <br /> the Bid Schedule. Payment will be made only for the price bid in Item 6 of the Bid Schedule, <br /> and as work is completed and approved by PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> TASK 7 REVEGETATION <br /> This Task is specific to revegetation of the mine bench outslopes and associated areas, such as <br /> the mine benches and areas near the toe of the outslopes. Revegetation specifications and <br /> payment for revegetation of the access roads is addressed in Task 9, Road Rehabilitation. <br /> Each of the mine bench outslopes will be revegetated according to the following specifications. <br /> It is estimated that fifteen and eight tenths (15.8) acres of mine bench outslopes will be <br /> revegetated. <br /> Revegetation of the mine bench outslopes will occur following completion of all other tasks that <br /> will be completed on the slopes. Work, such as tree and shrub planting at or below the toe of <br /> the outslopes may occur concurrently with, or immediately following outslope revegetation. <br /> Materials <br /> Seed <br /> Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. Please see Table 1, Outslope Seed Mixture, for the seed <br /> species and broadcast seed application rate. <br /> Fertilizer <br /> Fertilizer will be supplied by CONTRACTOR. Fertilizer will consist of Biosol Mix (N-P-K @ 7-2- <br /> 3), or pre-approved equivalent. <br /> Mulch <br /> Mulch will be supplied by CONTRACTOR. Mulch will consist of 00 to 1,000 p and bales of <br /> certified weed free Slender wheatgrass cuttings. All mulch must s noxious weed <br /> free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized State or County Officer. Documentation of <br /> certification must be provided to the PROJECT MANAGER prior to delivery of mulch. <br /> Tackifier <br /> CONTRACTOR will supply a plantago based tackifier, such as M-binder or approved organic <br /> equivalent. <br /> 15 <br />
