JUN 24 '96 03:41PM DIV/MINERALS&OEOLOGY P.3/10
June 20, 1996
Fred Bumside, who is the agent in charge of EPA's investigation of this matter,
talked to Hal DeMuth, of Harlan & Associates, on June 18, 1996, and told him the
results of tests taken by EPA at the loadout were negative for PCBs_ However, the
lab results were not yet available. A copy of Hal's phone log is attached.
Our understandog is that EPA places no restrictions on the drums at the Loadout,
and we are proceeding with our plan to consolidate drums and inventory contents
with the objective of ensuring proper disposal.
I will continue to advise you as to further developments.
Sincerely,
Diane Delaney
Attachments-
Memorandum of June 13,1996/w test results
Record of Telephone Conversation of June 18, 1996
Letter of June 14, 1996 concerning drums at Loadout
0 Page 2
