Peter Martin - p, 2
The White River National Forest is in the beginning stage of revising its
Forest Plan. One of the major decisions to be made in the revision concerns
Travel Management, which determines which roads and trails will be open or
closed to various uses. We expect the site-specific decisions on Coal Basin
roads and trails will be made during this process. There will be extensive
public involvement and the input from Redstone residents will be extremely
important.
I understand that Steve Renner has offered to show you some of the road
situation on-the-ground, which I'm sure would be very helpful to get another
perspective on the issues faced by the Mined Land Division and the Forest
Service.
Thank you for your continued interest in your National Forest. Please call me
a 963-2266 with any questions.
Sincerely,
KEVIN T. RIORDAN
District Ranger
cc: Steve Renner
