RECEIVED
Vanni Lowdenslager
7251 Highway#135 MAY 0?- 1997
Gunnison, CO 81230
April 30,1997 Division of Minarai&a vdwogy
Chairman, Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Chairman:
I'm writing to request adequate reclamation of Coal Basin near Redstone.
Without going into the scandalous particulars of the case, it is clear that your Board sho
insist that the Division of Minerals and Geology reinitiate the suit against Delaney/Mid-
Continent for the reclamation money to put Coal Basin in order. The massive clean-up
necessary in Coal Basin depends upon obtaining this money. Perhaps, with your urginc
the D.M.G. will more actively pursue its legislative mandate to restore the hydrologic
integrity of the watershed.
I would appreciate your sharing this letter with other members of the board.
Sincerely Yours,
Vanni Lowdensla9 er
CC: Senator Ken Chlouber
Representative Carl Miller
Representative Bryan Sullivant
